About the event

All cadets are given an opportunity during the training year to take a familiarization flight either in a cadet program glider. Priority for this activity will be given to cadets who registered this year and who have not yet participated in a glider flight. The objective of those familiarization flights are to make you discover by experimentation what flying in a glider is all about. This allows you to place the theoretical elements covered in our regular training program in its practical context. You get to live the feelings of taking off the ground, climbing to a safe flight altitude and execute basic manoeuvres such as turns, climb, descent, airport conventional circuit and flight operations. While you wait for your familiarization flights, we have a special activity with the Quebec search and rescue organization CASARA.
