About the event

As part of the Air Cadet mandatory program, all cadets are required to participate in an aircrew bush survival exercise. The objective is to familiarize our cadets with various techniques for surviving in an outdoor environment. Cadets will learn how to build a shelter, make a fire, cook their meals, and sleep in either a military tent or an improvised shelter. They will need to apply a wide range of skills and work as a team within their respective instructional levels, under the leadership of senior cadets and officers. Cadets should report to the Marie Victorin Community Center at 18:00 on Friday, October 6, 2023, with their personal equipment as listed in the kit list. The dress code for this activity is the Cadet Field Training Uniform (Green) with FTU tall boots. Transportation to the training site will be provided by bus, and cadets will return to the Marie Victorin Community Center at 16:30 on Sunday, October 8, 2023. There's plenty of fun in store, with many valuable lessons to be learned in an outdoor environment.
